Meet David
David's education and professional recognitions tell you a lot, but there is more to the story. David started his legal career in Anchorage, Alaska working for the Honorable Rene J. Gonzalez. From there, he joined Perkins Coie, where he was a successful trial lawyer for almost 20 years. In 2010, he was recruited to open the first Pacific Northwest office of Ogletree Deakins. For most of the last decade, David has been a shareholder at Littler Mendelson.
David has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict across a wide spectrum of employment claims. In addition, he has handled numerous injunction proceedings involving noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements and trade secret misappropriation. While at Littler, David was appointed by District Judge Michael H. Simon of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon to be a Special Master in a complicated trade secret case.
David is proud of his achievements as a successful trial lawyer. But he considers his highest professional achievement to be the fact that numerous lawyers with whom he worked at law firms have trusted him enough to hire him in their subsequent endeavors. David received his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, where he served on the editorial board of the Washington University Law Quarterly.
David received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from St. Olaf College, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. While in college, David spent his entire junior year as a fully matriculated student at Harris Manchester College, Oxford University, in Oxford, England.
